Pikos Institute IDR Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (Level 1)

The IDR Level 1 course offers a surgical and prosthetic technique designed to extend immediate loading on individual or multiple compromised teeth, allowing for the reconstruction of tissue losses in the same surgical session of implant placement and provisional crown installation. This technique reduces the number of interventions and makes esthetic aspects predictable.

The course is divided into eight sections and covers 23 modules, providing participants with comprehensive knowledge of the IDR technique. Section 1 introduces the IDR technique, the biology of the post-extraction socket, and minimally invasive dental extraction. Section 2 covers flap surgery, flapless surgery, diagnosis of compromised sockets, classification of alveolar bone defects, and team treatment plans. Section 3 focuses on the maxillary tuberosity as a graft donor area and the surgical technique for maxillary tuberosity.

Section 4 provides a protocol for selecting implant diameter in post-extraction sites. Section 5 covers the technique protocol in intact sockets and IDR protocols using cortico-cancellous bone graft. Section 6 focuses on IDR in the upper anterior, lower anterior, posterior regions, and infected sites. Section 7 covers the influence of the periodontal biotype in infected sites in the IDR treatment planning, bone reconstruction to improve implant primary stability, and osseodensification and IDR.

Section 8 focuses on IDR in cases with gingival recessions, clinical evidence of bone graft incorporation, IDR biology, and complications. The course concludes with a final module providing a summary of the course and conclusions. By the end of the IDR Level 1 course, participants will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the IDR technique, including the biology, surgical and prosthetic protocols, and complications.
